WHAT'S MY GEAR?

Some sessions will be split into Gears. See use the calculator below to make sure you put yourself in the correct group to match your ability.

If the run is longer distance or more challenging terrain (off road or hills) or just a social run then the pace is expected to be slower.


Please bear in mind these are just guidelines. If you've never run 5k or are just not sure, please seek advice from one of the leaders.


GEAR 1 : 5k current best run time over 38 mins (over 12 min/mile or over 7.20 min/k)


GEAR 2 : 5k current best run time 33 - 38 mins (10.30 to 12 min/mile or 6.30 to 7.20 min/k)


GEAR 3 : 5k current best run time 28 - 33 mins (9 to 10.30 min/mile or 5.40 to 6.30 min/k)


GEAR 4 : 5k current best run time 23 - 28 mins (7.20 to 9 min/mile or 4.40 to 5.40 min/k)


GEAR 5 : 5k current best run time under 23 mins (sub 7.20 min/mile or sub 4.40 min/k)
